Movieworld

Ok, time to do it all over again.   We figure as we’re no longer showing symptoms, and haven’t for over a week (other than tiredness) we should no longer be contagious, but we’ll make every effort to keep to ourselves.

We arrive a bit earlier, but the queues into the place are a bit long

Once in, Liam jumps into the queue for the Green Lantern coaster and fortunately only needs to wait 10 or so mins to get onto the ride.

This early, while there are still a lot of people around it does seem somewhat empty.  A walk through the “main street” to the other end of the park.

We see the “Scooby Doo 4D experience”, as we’re early, people just seem to be walking in, so why not get it out the way.   This is just a regular cinema, but the seats move and gusts of wind come out of the headrest while the movie is playing.  While we’re warned, some of the jolts of the seat are a bit uncomfortable on my back and neck.   It all rates high on the Craptastic Meter!

I take Caitlin to the section for the smaller kids, and she finds a couple of car rides to go on, both are pretty lame.   We catch up with Justine and Liam and we see a mid size coaster called “Road Runner”, it seems OK and the queue not too long.  Caitlin agrees to give it a go, so I can hardly bail out!

We strap in and start the climb up. So far so good.  Having looked at it for the last 20mins, it doesn’t seem too fast.  Well it might not look fast from the ground, it’s a different story for me (and it appears Caitlin, sitting behind me next to Justine).   This is plenty fast enough, I only wish it was over sooner!.

Let’s say that’s the roller coasters over for Caitlin and Me for the day!

The queues here just seems so much longer than at Seaworld, all the Virtual Queue are pretty much full too.  There are a few full on coasters that Liam is steering clear of, but they seem full too.

Some lunch and a bit of wander around.

Justine and Liam have another go on the Road Runner.  Caitlin goes on a few of the smaller rides.

We make it for the final Stunt Driving show, after yesterday’s efforts, I’ve got low expectations and I’ve got to say they’ve been meet.  The Driving was good, the “story” crap……

Liam does line up for the Green Lantern one final time, and he’s in the queue for about 45min to have his turn.   My leg is really starting to ache, so I’m happy to sit down and wait for Liam to finish.  Hobbling from one end of the park to the other is not helping.

A few last minute gift shop purchases and we’re spent for the day, and we drive back to the van.

I speak to my Mum and we sensibly think not visiting would be the safer options.  I wouldn’t want to give this to both grandmothers!  My mum can somehow get a cold at home when no one else has been around!

Given I’m buggered, and the van park is pretty good with heaps of activities for the kids, we think about staying another night and just try and recuperate.  The next driving stint one way or another will be a long one.

Dinner at the restaurant in the van park, and I’ve got to say the meals where pretty damn good and reasonably prices.   Quite a surprise.
