Ok, time to do it all over again.   We figure as we’re no longer showing symptoms, and haven’t for over a week (other than tiredness) we should no longer be contagious, but we’ll make every effort to keep to ourselves.

We’re on the 3pm Ferry.  I did call and double check when I realised we put Dawn on the 2:30 ferry the other day, surely there’s not two with 30mins of each other, they are not both listed on the timetable.  Well I was wrong, there is.

A slow start.  We’ve elected to drive the ~25km back up to Eli Creek.  The kids get a swim and I get a last drive up the beach, I’d call that a win-win.

A complete lounge around and do nothing day.   Normally I’m too fidgety to do nothing all day, but I make an exception.   I make a big dint in the Sam Neill memoir, the kids do some swimming and watch too much TV. (It’s a double edge sword that the resort Wifi seems to reach the room and specifically the smart tele so we’ve signed into our Netflix account).  Justine does some cross stitch.  As I said lazy day all round.

A long trip up the beach today, I’m aiming to get up as far as Ngkala Rocks.  This is only about 15-20km from the top of the island.  I’d like to go all the way to the tip, but the track, if you could call it that is more than I want to tackle.  So that will be far enough for me today.  Still about 70-80km from here.

An early start to the day.  At least this time we’re not on the 6:45 ferry!

After final packup, we drive over to River heads, about 30mins south from Dawn’s place.  Dawn drives herself so her car will be at the ferry terminal when she comes back in a couple of days.
