After breakfast I walk up to the viewing platform near the bay, Low tide again. The tides should start working in our favour next week.Continue reading “Day 79 – Port Hedland to Karajini”
Up and breakfast, we decide to go for a walk back on the beach. The kids decide they don’t want to.Continue reading “Day 78 – Eighty Mile Beach to Port Hedland”
We leave Broome around 10, today will be a fair bit of driving, Port Hedland is about 615km, and really the only thing between the two is a caravan park at Eighty Mile beach, it is about 350 odd km.Continue reading “Day 77 – Broome to Eighty Mile Beach”
Broome – Not much happening today. We start packing and tidying up. A quick round of mini golf over at the general store (note, we are all crap at it). More swimming, then we get ready to pick Darren up at the airport. The kids really missed him, they are excited to see him (me too).

It’s still 220km to Broome. 40km back to the highway, then onto Broome. For the last three days, other than the odd roadhouse to get fuel, there is nothing out here. You can see some roads leading to cattle stations, but there is not much else.
