Day 11 – Lake Burrendong

The water skiers are out early today, and the mozzies of the water, the seadoos are in action too.  It’s seems most are getting one last run in before packing up, I guess they’ve got work tomorrow.

A lazy morning and after lunch, Justine drives the kids to swimming pool back at the main part of the caravan park, but they don’t last too long.

As the day goes on more and more groups are packing up,  where there may have been 20 or 30 groups, there is now about 4 or 5, of course one of these is just in front of us down by the lake shore.

We turn it up a bit different tonight, the kids watch a movie while  we setup the fire and get dinner ready just as dark sets in.   Then we eat dinner and spend the night around the campfire.  It’s hard to make out in the dark, but we’re sure the bloke down by the lake is packing up, it the full camper trailer, marquee and small tinny so we’re surprised to think he’s left it so late, but about an hour later he pulls out in the pitch dark.   I hope he doesn’t have far to drive.

The moon is still not up yet and with practically no campers left, it is a beautiful dark night with plenty of star on display.  Caitlin is the most observant of us all and spots a shooting star and then a bit later points out a satellite passing overhead.
