Day 104 – Albany – Christmas Day

Up very early (after a stupidly late night). Our kids are OK, but a large extended family group spread throughout the park seem to want to show each other their presents at 6am! I kinda expected something like this, although it doesn’t make it any more pleasant at the time.

The kids go berserk at their presents from both us and Santa (what a clever bloke he is). Although the haul is maybe smaller than other years, they seem pretty happy.

We relax in the morning and then have a yummy lunch. Due to the wind we end up having lunch inside. At least with the bed up we have the room. After lunch the kids watch a DVD (I have a snooze!)

The kids invade the brissy family next to us, I think mostly to suss out their xmas presents, but we spend a lovely lazy afternoon chatting way. They’ve been on the road for under six months, but plan to be away for about another 12.

We’re sitting about, chatting, and the next thing we know a police car pulled up, right next to our van…what the hell…. It’s just the local cops, doing some PR and handing out lollies to the kids (don’t they teach kids not to accept lollies from strangers?) anyway the kids dive in for some of the action. The cops inform us it’s been a quiet day…..so far.

We’ve had a really great, chilled out day.
