Day 24 – Archers Creek to Undara NP.

We’ve only got about 150km to go today so we’re off to a slow start.
We backtrack about 10km and visit Millstream Falls, Really beautiful, it’s unfortunate that you can’t actually get down to the water as it look really inviting.

Lunch at a picnic site at Forty Mile Scrub National Park,

Arrive early at Undara. Undara NP has these lava tubes, but only allow access via guided tours (kaching). We’re booked on the 10:30 tour tomorrow.

We setup and it pretty hot here, so a swim in the pool before doing a late afternoon walk up to the “The Bluff”, a pretty easy 30min walk. As we arrive at the top we catch a glimpse of a rock wallaby. From the bluff you can see all over park and surrounding area. On the way back down it is around 5pm and we see a number of wallabies feeding nearby.

Dinner and I get going one of the best fires I’ve done so far. The kids are mesmerised by it and there is no talk of TV or a movie tonight.
