Justine’s mum lives in Hervey Bay, So we’ve driven this route heaps of times, and we could easily do this as school holiday trips, so we’ve decided to drive up Hervey Bay as quickly as we can and then start the trip in earnest from there.
Our aim was around Ballina as this is about the halfway mark, but we made pretty good time, so decided to keep going a bit and made it to Tweed Heads.
It seemed a lot of van parks up here had two night minimum stay, which didn’t leave us much options. So we ended up in the Pyramid holiday park, which was actually pretty large, and fine for the night. I must admit though, it reminded me a bit of home……
