Broome – Not much happening today. We start packing and tidying up. A quick round of mini golf over at the general store (note, we are all crap at it). More swimming, then we get ready to pick Darren up at the airport. The kids really missed him, they are excited to see him (me too).

Sydney – Up at 5:30 local time (2:30 WA Time), and I immediately know I won’t be going back to sleep. May as well get ready and head over to the airport. At least today, I’ll get back to the family on the same day I leave. Sydney airport is a busy as usual, but I have some time to catch up on some work. The laptop is still on Perth time, so that gives me a bit of a rude wakeup call as to how long today will be.
The flight over to Perth is chock-as but fine, a 3hr layover in Perth, but again some work fills in some of that time.
The flight to Broome is half empty so at least that is something. The runway at Broome airport lines up one of the main streets of Broome’s Chinatown district, so they certainly know when a plane is landing.
