Newcastle
I think I might have had an hours sleep on the flight. Not much, but at least something.
Train it over to Petersham and up to the office to see if I can find my suit and dress shoes in our clothing that’s been put in storage up there. Fortunately I find them pretty quickly, then off home to get our car. As it’s Sunday morning, it’s pretty easy drive up to Newcastle.
Broome
A catch up day – washing, swimming and playing. The kids spend some time with the two girls across the road, they have really enjoyed having some other kids to play with. Head into town to rent a DVD, then back to get ready to go to Gantheaume Point, to hunt for dinosaur prints. This area is apparently one of the best places to see them on the west coast of Australia.
We head down at 4.30pm, get to the car park, then realise there are no signs, nothing at indicating where to go. We assume you just go over the cliff and scramble down the boulders (which is exactly what you need to do). We make it down, and really don’t know what to look for. If it wasn’t for some other people pointing things out, I don’t think we would have found anything. As it is, we see 2 prints rights next to each other. They are clearly dino prints, like a massive bird. Lots of rock pools and small coral as well. Glad we wore our reef shoes.
Back home for dinner & a DVD.
